Calciners & Kilns

System
For heat treatment of powders or granular solids by indirect fired horizontal rotary calcining drums designed for operating temperatures up to 1000°C.

Construction
Indirect fired calciners have special alloy steel drums rotating in high temperature refractory lined surface casings.

Drive
Calcining drums are rotated by electric motor through V-belts, gearbox, pinion and either heavy duty chain to chain-wheel or spur gear drive ring bolted to the drum using tangent plates to allow for differential expansion. Drives may be fixed speed or variable.

Furnaces
For indirect calciners, carbon steel casings lined with ceramic fibre with seals at drum/furnace interface.

Burners
Gas or Oil fired, supplied complete with all necessary safety and
operating controls.

Applications
Minerals, ores, metal oxides, carbon pigments, catalysts.

Standard Sizes
Available in a range of sizes from 450mm (18 inches) diameter by 3,500mm long to 2,000mm (6 ft. 6 in.) diameter by 30M long.
